As we all know, Alexander Hamilton is a very notable figure in History, especially American History. Although, he greatly shaped America, he was born approximately 3891 Kilometers away from America in the small Caribbean Island that goes by the name of Saint Kitts and Nevis.  

Without Hamilton, there could have been no Coast Guard of America! He captained America’s oldest serving unit in the US army at the age of only 20 years old!  A notable person is someone who has a positive influence on our lives and the progress of humanity, so I have decided that Alexander Hamilton would be a great person to study. He has changed many people's lives, for the better, and saved many people's lives. 

 For example, Hamilton managed to create the Coast Guard of America. Yes, without Hamilton, America might not have had a coast guard. The coast guards' beginnings can be traced back to the 1790's when Alexander Hamilton advised that congress funds the construction of 10 'cutter' boats [small boats designed for speed]. These boats are considered as the ''Ancestors'' of the Coast Guard.  

 Hamilton was part of of The Founding Fathers. They were a group of American revolutionary leaders who united the Thirteen Colonies, led the war for independence from Great Britain, and built a frame of government for the new United States of America, which is now one of the the wealthiest nations in the world. Without Hamilton, then America, and probably even the whole world, would not be the same. For these reasons, I consider Hamilton truly Notable, and would love to learn more about this brilliant figure.
